What an absolute legend - Beatles be damned, you're one of the most all-time important figures in music. The impact you've had on billions can't be overstated. At the risk of being an ass and taking advantage of messaging a genuine hero of music, if you get the chance to provide any feedback for future MPCs, please suggest that they consider adding a scale mode to the piano roll, so it only shows the notes in the scale. I've owned both the One and Live 2 and sold both solely because of that one missing feature. I would buy another (probably the Key 37) in a heartbeat if they added that one small thing... Thanks again for everything that you've done for...... everyone really. Whether they've ever touched an MPC or a drum machine or not, there is not one person alive who hasn't loved a song that would never have been made without you. So thank you!

I don't mean this in a bad way, but isn't the art of a proper software-based DAW to be able to draw every single note precisely, to freely define every effect individually with all the insert effects and other plugins, instead of using such outdated "all in one" hardware parts that are extremely limited in terms of operation and scope and, to be honest (compared to the software on the computer) are not updateable in any way? But the video is still very good.

When I first touched the MPC 3000...it was electrifying. I had no formal music training, never played piano, nada! I was blessed to be an MC starting off in a professional studio on Hollywood BLVD. I learned quickly, and have been able to own an MPC 2000XL. Thank you for every second of work you did and most of all, accepting our style of music.

I ran a small home studio in the mid 90s with Adats, Mackie, and of course, MPC 60, mainly the II. Most of my clients were rappers and we just loved the timing and ease of beat making on the MPC. Thank you for the design and for this video!
